Introduction

Our fuel oil principle is: The correct identification of the problem is the first step and a necessity for the correct choice and application of the most suitable product.

Vecom Marine Fuel Oil Treatment

Before we can treat the fuel on-board, or the fuel system, we need to understand the system. We also need to understand the problems and the symptoms that arise within the system.
The crew needs to test the fuel and the crew needs to treat the fuel in accordance with the test results or the symptoms that arise.
To make this as easy as possible to understand, VECOM MARINE has separated the fuel oil treatments into three areas:

  1. Pre-combustion
  2. Combustion
  3. Post-combustion

In the below diagrams and on the product pages, we hope to help the engineers on board the vessel to correctly identify the problem or to correctly take the result from a fuel oil test kit, in order to choose the right product to treat the symptom.

What is important? We do not want you to throw away money when there is nothing wrong with the system, the fuel, or the test. Remember the correct identification of the problem is the first step and a necessity for the correct choice and application of the most suitable product.
