Ultrasonic Cleaner

Ultrasonic Cleaner

Water-based multipurpose cleaning liquid for use in ultrasonic baths and cleaning machines. Free from hydrocarbon solvents.

Product description

Applications

The cleaning of heavily contaminated fuel and lubricating oil filters, cylinder heads and air coolers is often difficult. The use of only a cleaning agent is generally unsatisfactory, as only a part of the residues will be removed. In most cases carbon residues and other solid materials will be left behind. In these cases the use of ultrasonic sound waves in combination with a special cleaning agent gives good results. The special detergents in the cleaning agent keep the contamination dispersed in the liquid and the complexing agents will partly dissolve them. Ultrasonic cleaner has been specially developed for use in ultrasonic baths for the cleaning of all materials except zinc, galvanised parts and/or magnesium alloys. We advice to test light-metal alloys (aluminium, magnesium, etc.), e.g. pistons, turbo-blower parts, etc., in advance for 5 – 10 minutes.

Directions for use

IN ULTRASONIC CLEANING BATH
Degrease the components to be cleaned, if necessary, with GP DEGREASER or QUICK SPLIT CLEANER, depending on the degree of contamination. ULTRASONIC CLEANER should be used in a 5 – 25% solution in water at a temperature of 50 – 70°C. Dismantle the equipment to be cleaned (i.e. remove top and bottom rings from the filter candles), put the components in the bath, taking care that the elements are completely immersed and kept separate.

We recommend a cleaning time of 5 – 30 minutes, but longer if necessary. Take the elements out of the bath and spray with a powerful water jet. The cleaning solution has to be renewed and the bath cleaned regularly, because in a contaminated bath the parts cannot be cleaned effectively.

IN CLEANING MACHINES
ULTRASONIC CLEANER is, depending on the nature and degree of contamination, applied in a solution of about 4% in cleaning machines. The contaminated object must be placed in the machine and cleaned for 30 – 60 minutes at a temperature of 80 – 90°C. Finally rinse with water.

Standard packing

ULTRASONIC CLEANER is usually available in plastic cans of 25 l and plastic drums of 200 l.
