FOT Biocontrol

FOT Biocontrol

FOT BIOCONTROL is a biocide against bacteria, fungi, yeasts, algae and SRBs in diesel fuel.

Product description

Applications

FOT BIOCONTROL is a powerful antimicrobial agent that is specially formulated to eliminate a wide range of bacteria, fungi, yeasts, algae and SRBs (sulfate-reducing bacteria) in fuel. This product is an effective solution for controlling microbial growth and preventing microbial-induced corrosion in fuel systems. FOT BIOCONTROL is a potent biocide capable of removing any contamination. Suitable for use in a variety of marine fuel types, including diesel, marine gas oil, and biofuels.

Directions for use

Clean heavily contaminated systems (fuel tank including pipes) before applying FOT BIOCONTROL treatment. This ensures that the active ingredients in the product can reach the microorganisms that are present in the fuel system. FOT BIOCONTROL should be added to the tank before refueling to obtain good mixing.
Note: When using FOT BIOCONTROL for the first few times, it is recommended to remove released clusters of algae before they clog fuel filters. The dose of the product depends on the degree of microbial contamination in the system.

Preventive use: 50 ml per ton
Light contamination: 150 – 200 ml per ton
Moderate contamination: 200 – 250 ml per ton
Heavy contamination: 250 – 350 ml per ton

Standard packing

FOT BIOCONTROL is usually available in steel drums of 25 l.
