Applications
VECINOX PICKLING SPRAY 4025 is only suitable for austenitic stainless steel. The product is mainly used for pickling of outer surfaces of tanks and installations.
Directions for use
The product has to be sprayed onto the surface (for instance by air pressure driven device “Matabi Pickling Spray Pump”). Coverage is approximately 4 – 6 m² per kg. At temperatures of 15 – 35°C the reaction time is 1 – 2 hours. Once weld discolouration is removed and surface has an overall satin finish, rinse surface with high-pressure water. Finally rinse with demineralised water.
Treatment of effluent
Before disposing the treatment products it is necessary to neutralise the acid and make the fluorides and heavy metals insoluble with calcium hydroxide to give a pH of 8.5 to 9.
Standard packing
VECINOX PICKLING SPRAY 4025 is usually available in plastic cans of 20 kg.
